Ghanaians couldn’t hide their when news emerged that Shatta Wale has indirectly earned a Grammy nomination.

The reports claimed that Shatta Wale got nominated alongside all other featured acts on Beyonce’s latest album, The Lion King: The Gift. He is flanked by Guilty Beatz who also produced songs on the album.

Beyonce’s album gained an official entry into the nominees for the Best Pop Vocal Album category for the 62nd GRAMMY Awards.

Contrary to the belief and excitement permeating within the corridors of Shatta Movement following the nomination, popular Kumasi-based blogger and radio presenter NYDJ says otherwise.

According to him in a series of tweets Jupdateafrica.com sighted, he received an email that clarifies and explains the reason why Shatta Wale isn’t a nominee even though he’s part of Beyonce’s Lion King Album.
