The wife of Ghana’s Vice President, Samira Bawumia has been enskinned as a Queen by Gonja People.
Samira Bawumia has been enskinned as a queen by the people of Gulumpe and Kadelso, in the Kintampo North Municipality of the Bono East Region.
The Enskinning ceremony was held in the Kintampo North Municipal Assembly, home of the of Gulumpe and Kadelso of the Gonja ethnic group.

Sharing the good news, she wrote on social media: I am grateful to the Gonja people of Gulumpe and Kadelso, in the Kintampo North Municipality of the Bono East Region, for enskinning me as “Kechitowurchie” (helper) and “Kanyitiwurchie” (Queen of patience), respectively.
