A notorious fraudster has been busted when he tried scamming the Deputy Director of National Security, Hopeson Adorye.
The fraudster, Jonas Awuah, who is part of a group that rips many big men of their monies by offering them fake lucrative deals didn’t go home smiling as usual when he targeted the NPP leading member.
Admitting he’s involved the trade on his arrest, Mr. Awuah pleaded for mercy and forgiveness in a video Hopeson Adorye shared on Facebook.
Narrating the incident, Jonas approached Mr. Adorye with a deal that will see him supply an ‘Oil Well Cement’ they sell to West African Gas Pipeline and Bui Dam.
The NPP man agreed to the deal and paid Ghc 5,000 for the first batch of the supposed ‘Oil Well Cement’ which Jonas Awuah and his expatriates delivered.
According to Hopeson Adorye, this cement is fake, well-packaged sea sand with labels that it was manufactured on Indonesia.
For the next batch of the cement, Jonas Awuah was supposed to receive Ghc 55,000 from Mr. Adorye.
Not knowing his scheme has been unmasked, he showed up with the product with the aim of taking the agreed Ghc 55,000 only for him to be busted by National Security Operatives.
