Undoubtedly, in Africa, precisely in Ghana, there is this perception that some kind of professions is reserved for a certain type of people. I mean the school drop-outs (Kubolor).
The creator of the famous “kupe” and “pilolo” dances, Incredible Zigi, has disclosed that his family was not in support of his choice of career as a dancer because of frankly archaic perception they had heard about dancers.
Incredible Zigi christened Michael Amofa in an interview with AFROSAGES and monitored by Jupdateafrica.com, stated that it got a point where his uncle stopped giving him money for school just because he(uncle) thought he is wasting money.
