Blackstars midfielder Mubarak Wakaso has successfully undergone surgery after suffering a fractured hand injury.
The Ghanaian international sustained the injury over the weekend when his Deportivo Alaves side lost 4-2 to Osasuna in the Spanish La Liga.

His club after subsequent checks confirmed that he has a problem with his metacarpus and needed surgery to correct it.
Due to the injury setback, the in-form midfielder will miss Ghana’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe this month.
