The 2019 edition of 3 Music Awards came off at the Fantasy Dome, Trade Fair in Accra.
The event saw Shatta Wale sweep through, with the ‘Gringo’ singer winning awards in eight categories, including Music Video of the Year and Male Act of the Year. ‘Gringo’ was named Viral Song of the Year and its video won in the Best Music Video category.
But, two Ghanaian rappers, Medikal and Joey have taken a swipe at the CEO of 3Music Awards CEO, Sadiq Abdulai for refusing to settle them.
As reported earlier by Jupdateafrica.com, Sarkodie has been nominated for the 2019 Hip Hop Awards.
He was nominated for the Best International Flow alongside Falz (Nigeria), Ghetts (U.K.), Kalash (France), Lil Simz (U.K.), Nasty C (South Africa) and Tory Lanez (Canada).
Sadiq Abdulai sharing his thoughts on the nomination on Accra-based Hitz FM stated that it’s very disrespectful for Sarkodie to be nominated in the same category with Nigerian artiste, Falz.
I think it is disrespectful to @sarkodie for Falz to be in the same category as him, looking at the standard Sarkodie has set, he said.
Rapper D-Black also saw a post from Hitz FM’s Twitter account and responded in disbelief asking Sadiq to come clear.
Medikal upon seeing the comments made by Sadiq Abdulai asked social media users to drop that topic because Sadiq even owes him and has not made any intentions of coming to pay.
Surprisingly, Joey B, who also has the same problem with Sadiq replied, but instead of asking for his money, he said he has a plan for him.
