The burial for former Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe has been postponed indefinitely.
The burial was earlier scheduled to hold on Sunday, September 15th in Zimbabwe but it’s not likely to hold again as family members of the deceased ex-president confirmed the development to online portal, Zimlive.
According to Mugabe’s nephew who also doubles as the family spokesperson, Robert Mugabe was a chief and he would be given a traditional burial instead.
“Mugabe was a chief and he will be buried in accordance with tradition. The chiefs have not told us where he will be buried, so it is not clear yet. I also don’t know,” he said.
Rober Mugabe died in a Singapore hospital at the age of 95. The sad news of his demise was confirmed by current President Emmerson Mnangagwa on Friday the 6th of September 2019.
