Ghana’s most prolific rapper Sarkodie raised the flag of Ghana high at the 2019 BET Hip-Hop Awards which came off a few days ago at Atlanta’s Cobb Energy Center.
Sarkodie beat Falz (Nigeria), Ghetts (U.K.), Kalash (France), Lil Simz (U.K.), Nasty C (South Africa) and Tory Lanez (Canada) to win the Best International Flow Award.
When Sarkodie picked the award, he called on the audience (Africans) present at the awards ceremony to take a trip back home to commemorate the year of return.
“I think Africa has always had it and it is about that time. This year is the Year of Return and I will urge each and every one of you here to take a trip back home. When you’re coming to Africa, choose Ghana”. he said.
Well, it seems American hip-hop act, Chance The Rapper has soaked Sarkodie’s message to the year of return.
In a tweet sighted by Jupdateafrica.com, the America rapper and actor expressed interest in visiting the country for the year of return.
