The Government of Ghana has charged founder of collapsed Capital Bank, William Ato Essien has been charged over the collapse of the bank.
Ato Essien, including Fitzgerald Odonkor, Kate Quartey-Papafio and Tetteh Nettey, who were all executives of the bank, have been hit with 26 charges by the state.
In a lawsuit filed at the Accra High Court on Tuesday, October 8, 2019, and available to Jupdateafrica.com, the activities of the four led to the collapse of the bank in 2017.

The other three who played various roles at the Bank during its operational period included Fitzgerald Odonkor, Tetteh Nettey, and Kate Quartey-Papafio

The charges levelled against the four include multiple counts of conspiracy to steal, abetment of crime, stealing, and money laundering.
